Canadian Lacrosse Association – OTTAWA, ON – The Canadian Lacrosse Association has begun accepting applications to officiate at the upcoming 2018 Men’s Field Lacrosse World Championship, which will take place in Manchester, England next summer.

The selection process will be similar to previous FIL World Championships. Applications will be accepted from field lacrosse referees currently officiating at a senior level (Level 3/4/5) in men’s field lacrosse. These individuals should be well versed in the rules, the 3-4 man mechanics, and in good physical shape. 

In order to submit your candidature, you will need to completed the application form, which requires MA approval, and pay the $200 application fee. You will also be required to attend one of following tryout camps.

  • Weekend of September 2                          Saskatoon, SK                    U15 Alumni Cup / U18 First Nations Trophy
  • Weekend of September 30                        TBD, ON                               Ontario Senior and Junior (U19) Matches
  • Weekend of November 11                         Richmond, BC                   Richmond Tournament

Please send a hard copy of your completed application form, along with a certified cheque or money order, to Jean-François Roy at the CLA Office before the April 30, 2017 deadline.
