The Government of Canada announced it is taking action to improve governance of sport organizations. In order to receive federal funding, National Sport Organizations (NSOs) will adopt the Canadian Sport Governance Code by April 2025. The Code has clear targets to improve areas in areas such as board diversity and independence, transparency, athlete representation and financial statements.
