Manitoba Gymnastics Association – The Manitoba Gymnastics Association sent 41 gymnastics to compete in the Western Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Richmond, BC, May 5-7, 2016.

The gymnasts won an overall 25 medals.

In the Girls competition, Level JO 10, 12-15 age group, Jamie Wakin of Springers placed 1^st All Around, 1^st on Uneven Bars, and 1^st on Floor. Jordyn Galloway of Springers placed 1^st on Vault.

In the JO 10 16+ age group Emily Blackner of Panthers won a Bronze Medal in the All Around, and a bronze on Uneven Bars. The team made up of Emily Blackner, Alia Ross, Meghan Boulanger, and Melissa Stampe of Fantastic Gymnastics and Molly Oswald of Springers won a Bronze medal.

In the JO 9 11-13 age group the Team made up of Brooklyn Nylen, Okeri Katjivari of Brandon Eagles, Alexis Gillespie and Jordyn Crerar of Panthers Gymnastics won the Bronze medal. Brooklyn Nylen placed 4^th All Around.

In the JO 9 14 + Stephanie Clarkson of Springers placed 3^rd All Around and won a Gold medal on Floor. The Team made up of Brook Bradshaw of Brandon Eagles, April Demeule of Panthers and Ailish O’Shea, Stephanie Clarkson,  and Taya Niessen of Springers won a Bronze medal

In the JO 8 (97 -03) Caitlyn Yip of Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre placed 3^rd All Around, and 1^st on Uneven Bars. Grace Dubnick of Brandon Eagles placed 3^rd on Beam and Maxine Sanders of Fantastic Gymnastics placed 3^rd on Uneven Bars.

Angela Cao of Fantastic Gymnastics placed 3^rd on Uneven Bars in the Aspire 1 category.

In the Boys competition, in Elite 3 Alex Tiaglei of the Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre placed 2^nd in Physical Abilities, 3^rd on Floor and Rings and 4^th All Around.

The National Open and Provincial 5 Team combined won a Bronze Medal. The team was made up of Davey Boschmann, Qayum Hassani, Jeremie Gregoire, Cole Hutchison, Mac Neumann of Winnipeg Gymnastics, and Sam Wenham and Paul Eros of Fantastic Gymnastics.

In the National Open category Paul Eros placed 2^nd All Around, 1^st on Vault and 2^nd on Parallel Bars. Davey Boschmann tied for 2^nd on Pommel Horse with Qayum Hassani.
