We have officially launched the Girls in Sport Campaign!
Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – We are thrilled to let you know that we have officially launched the Girls in Sport campaign with the release of “Sweaty Is Awesome”. This is the first of six videos that we will roll out on a bi-weekly basis starting today. The subsequent videos highlight how sport has directly impacted and benefited girls and women across Canada. With over 70% of girls permanently dropping out of sport by their early teens, our goal is to reach thousands of girls across Canada to encourage them to be active and stay involved in sport. The videos will be available on sportshall.ca and on our social media channels (YouTube, Facebook and Twitter).
Please watch the video below and share it with your family and friends so we can all help to inspire the next generation of girls across Canada.
As part of this campaign, we are asking Canadians to let us know who your role model is by clicking here or writing in the comment section below each video on our social media platforms. Please submit your selection by November 1, 2018.
Role models must be:
- Living
- Female
- Canadian
- Athlete (currently competing or retired)
