Swim Nova Scotia – Edmonton (AB)- Nova Scotia’s top swimmers continued competing at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Edmonton, Alberta at the Kinsmen Sports Centre.

Results from the second day of competition for Nova Scotia Swimmers included Danial Murphy, who finished 7th in the PARA Men’s S5 100m Freestyle with a time of 1:32.81, Sarah Polley, 15th in the Women’s 100m Freestyle with a 57.44 and Tyler Herron, 21st the Men’s 100m Backstroke with a 59.05.  All three swimmers are representing the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club.

This is Swimming Canada’s flagship event of this year’s swimming season, with Canada’s best swimmers racing to represent the country at the Pan Pacific Championships this summer in Tokyo and the Pan Pacific Para Swimming Championships in Cairns, Australia.

Approximately 400 swimmers from 105 clubs are competing from across Canada with visiting competitors from France, Peru, Thailand, Singapore, Scotland and the United States.

Prelims begin at 10:00am and finals begin at 6:00pm local time daily and will conclude on Sunday July 22nd.
