Athletes/Teams/Coaches To Watch

  1. Archer Austin Taylor competes today in the compound individual male and team mix competitions. Taylor is the reigning Canadian junior-aged outdoor target archery and field archery champion.  He won a bronze medal in team play at the World Archery Indoor Championship in Yankton, S.D., in February and is Canada’s No.1-ranked indoor archer.
  2. Snowboarders Liam Berger and Cole Steendam finished 29th and 30th out of 38, respectively, in the first snowboardcross race Team Manitoba has participated in yesterday – on Liam’s 14th birthday.
  3. Alpine skiier Maia Dalling raced today. She’s a high-performance cyclist and for the last week she participated in a cycling camp with Team Manitoba in Southern California where they were riding around 100k per day. On Saturday, she flew from California to Calgary and landed about one hour before the ski team flew in to participate in the 2019 CWG.

Watch the Herd on TV and online

There are no dedicated broadcast games for Team Manitoba in week two, though our athletes may be featured in the general sport broadcasts. Please check the sport schedule for the most up-to-date game times. 

Week two sports that are not being broadcast by TSN will be webcast online at canadagames.live The archive of week one sports and games that have already been played in week two are also available here.
