*This is a historic opportunity for media to witness several Indigenous ceremonies that have not been filmed since 1951, as it was then considered illegal to perform them under the Indian Act. We hope you’ll plan to spend the day with us or cover one of the ceremonies.

FRIDAY, JUNE 23

• Relay start time: 10:30 a.m. at Manitoba Hydro office – 175 North Front Drive, Steinbach MB
• Relay route: Torchbearers will take North Front Drive to Main Street, then down Reimer Avenue, Brandt Street, back to Main Street and end where it began, Manitoba Hydro office on North Front Drive
• Community Celebration will follow: 12:00pm at Manitoba Hydro office – 175 North Front Drive
• Open to all! Come feel the excitement when the Canada Summer Games come to Steinbach!
• *Torch bearers and organizers are available for interviews before or at the event

SATURDAY, JUNE 24

• Relay start time: 9:00 a.m. at Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre – 931 Lakeview Dr, Kenora ON
• Relay route: Roly McLenehan Torch will wind its way along Lakeview Drive from the Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre to the Whitecap Pavillion. Torchbearers will then take the same route back to the Discovery Centre for a community breakfast.
• Community Celebration: 11:00 a.m. at at Lake of the Woods Discovery Centre – 931 Lakeview Dr.
• Open to all!
