Rugby Ontario – Kitchener-based rugby wear manufacturer partners with Rugby Ontario on a three-year agreement.

(TORONTO, ON) – Rugby Ontario is pleased to announce that it has entered a multi-year partnership with Barbarian Sports Wear Inc., designating the Kitchener, Ont.-based rugby wear manufacturer as the official on-field high performance apparel supplier for the sport’s provincial governing body.

Barbarian will design and manufacture training and on-field matchday kit for Rugby Ontario provincial teams, effective immediately. As per the agreement, Barbarian will outfit all Ontario Blues, Ontario Storm, Junior Blues, and Junior Storm sevens and fifteens sides. The partnership also includes commercial marketing and merchandising rights.

All Barbarian rugby shirts and shorts are made at the company’s manufacturing facility in Kitchener, Ont., which employs 72 individuals. All shirt and short fabrics are knit using only fibres of North American origin.

The first Barbarian-produced kit for Rugby Ontario will be showcased by Ontario Junior Blues and Junior Storm sevens sides at the upcoming National Under-18 Sevens Rugby Championships, held Mar. 10-11 in Vancouver.
