Canada Basketball – TORONTO, ON (September 16, 2018) – Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the 12-man roster for Monday’s FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers game against Chile.

Canada concludes the fourth window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers on the road against Chile on Monday, September 17 at 7:00 p.m. EDT. Fans can catch all the action streaming live in Canada on DAZN.

Head Coach Roy Rana will lead Team Canada and be joined by assistant coaches Patrick Tatham, J.D. Jackson and Michael Meeks.

Canada improved to 6-1 and moved into first place in Group F with a 85-77 victory over Brazil on Thursday night in Laval, Quebec as the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers resumed.

The top three teams from Group B, Venezuela (6-1), Brazil (5-2) and Chile (1-6), and Group D, Canada (6-1), Dominican Republic (5-2) and U.S. Virgin Islands (2-5), have combined to form Group F.  Canada will now face Venezuela, Brazil and Chile on a home and away basis.

The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China will be the biggest edition of FIBA’s flagship event with a record 32 participating teams playing 92 games over 16 days.

For the first time, the FIBA Basketball World Cup will qualify 7 teams directly for the following year’s Olympic Games.
