Robinson Leads MCT Insurance Men’s Mid Amateur Championship
Nova Scotia Golf Association – The winds were calm today for the first round of the MCT Insurance Men’s Mid Amateur at Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club. It’s a close race for the title this year, as mere decimals separate the indexes in the top players.
The low round of the day goes to Glenn Robinson of Ashburn Golf Club. Carding five birdies, and two bogeys, finishing with an impressive three under 68.
Currently in second, and one shot off of the lead, is Bobby Marriott from the Granite Springs Golf Club. He was two over on the front nine and was four under on the back after carding a 30 with an eagle on the par 4, 12th hole.
Defending champion, Trevor Chow from Ashburn fired an even par 71 and sits tied for 3rd with Stuart Lenehan (Grandview), and Mike Fortier (Ashburn).
