Equestrian Canada – Ottawa, ON, March 9, 2018 – Registration is now open for the Making Strides Workshop, set for May 18, 2018 at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa, ON, and featuring renowned Canadian dressage athletes, Jacqueline Brooks and Liz Steacie.

As part of Equestrian Canada (EC)’s Dressage for Youth Program, EC certified High Performance 1 Coach and two-time Olympian, Jacqueline Brooks, will guide Under 25 (U25) athletes through dressage tests, teaching tips and tricks to avoid common mistakes. This fun, interactive workshop will help youth understand the methodology behind each movement and develop strategies to assist with preparation for future tests.

Liz Steacie, a member of the EC Dressage Committee, will concurrently work with adult amateurs in an adjacent ring. With five decades’ worth of insight as a rider, trainer and competitor to offer, she is an invaluable high performance resource for athletes seeking to improve their performance in the ring.

Location: Wesley Clover Parks – Ottawa, ON Cost: $25 for participants, free for auditors Registration: The registration deadline is May 14, 2018. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required. Register at https://licence.equestrian.ca/drworkshop.

Registration is open to athletes at the walk-trot through advanced test levels. Preference will be given to riders competing in 2018 and participating in the Ottawa Dressage Festival.
