Canada Soccer will hold their first National Para Soccer camp of the 2016 season at the Oakville Soccer Club in May. The four-day camp, led by national coach Drew Ferguson, will run 5-8 May.

“We are very excited to have the Oakville Soccer Club host our national camp in May,” said Ferguson. “They have a great facility, so both staff and players will benefit from the club’s support to the Para Soccer.”

The roster for the camp will be announced in late April. The team will be preparing for a qualifying competition in July later this year.

“On behalf of Oakville SC, I am proud to welcome Canada Soccer’s National Para Soccer Team to Oakville,” said David Harris, Executive Director of Oakville SC. “The ability to host this world-class is truly an honour and we look forward to assisting in the team’s preparation for their qualifying event in Denmark in July”

This year marks the 13th edition of the National Para Soccer program. Just last year, Canada finished 10th at the biennial CP-ISRA World Championship and fourth at the Toronto 2015 Parapanamerican Games.
