Aug. 8, 2016 | Vaughan, ON –  The Ontario Soccer Association announced today that it has teamed up with Academy Soccer Coach to launch an online resource platform that will become the hub for development of coaches, players and high performance education in Ontario.

Academy Soccer Coach has established itself as a provider of innovative resources and solutions for soccer coaches, teachers and many others who work within soccer development and education worldwide.

The OSA’s learning platform will be used by coaches on the C and B Licence, as well as coaches taking the Goalkeeping Diploma Course and Technical Director Diploma Course. It will also offer different educational resources for the grassroots coaches, grassroots workshops and Game Leader training.

“This resource is going to help us provide modern tools for those seeking a better level education in Ontario,” said Gary Miller, OSA Technical Director. “Academy Soccer Coach is the best at what they do and with their help this will only further reinforce the great opportunities were driving for learning in Ontario.”

In its initial phase, the platform will feature the respective course material, mandatory tests, session planning tools and Continuous Professional Development Tracking for all coaches with their B Licence.

In the coming years, the platform will be built up to support all aspects of the NCCP Community Course functions, interactive safe-guarding modules and various nutritional modules.

“The Ontario Soccer Association’s long term commitment to education provides first-class learning opportunities for coaches, players and match officials to develop themselves and support the growth of the game across the province and beyond,” said Phil Abbott, Director of Academy Soccer Coach. “The OSA Learning Platform will amplify those efforts further.
