Motivate Canada – After nearly a decade with the organization, we announce the resignation of our CEO Don Adams effective December 31st, 2016.

Don has been a stabilizing force for the organization since he joined us in 2007, at a time when we were transitioning from the Esteem Team Association to now, Motivate Canada. A seasoned and passionate sport leader, Don has been steadfast in his dedication and commitment to our organization’s growth and development, leading the charge on youth-driven development in Canada.

On behalf of the Motivate Canada family, including our founders, Board of Directors, staff and volunteers, we come together in wishing Don the best of success in his future endeavors.  We know he is excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead, and will continue to support the work of Motivate Canada moving forward.

Motivate Canada is a Canadian charitable organization that specializes in improving the lives of young people by fostering civic engagement, social entrepreneurship, social inclusion and leadership among youth. We use techniques from sport, physical education and community driven development in our programming.  Through harnessing the power of positive role models, sport and physical activity, and community engagement principles, Motivate Canada is able to engage young people, build their confidence and sense of self-worth and increase their social and vocational competence. From our modest beginnings 20 years ago as a one program, one province organization, we now deliver four youth-driven development initiatives across Canada – ACTIVATE,  ESTEEM Team,  Clean Air Champions and GEN7.
