Manitoba Ringette Association – The Canadian Ringette Championships concluded on Saturday April 9th in London, Ontario.  The Manitoba Ringette Association is proud of all of our teams who represented us at the Championship.

In total, 48 teams from across the country competed in three divisions. U16AA, U19AA, and the National Ringette League (19 and over). 

In the U16AA division the Eastman Flames represented as Team Manitoba, finishing in 9th place.  The Bonivital Angels also attended finishing in 4th place.

In the U19 AA division the Bonivital Angels represented as Team Manitoba finishing in 5th place.  The Eastman Flames also attended finishing in 9th place.

Four Manitoba athletes were selected to All Star Teams.

U19 1st line – Alana Lesperance – Offence (Bonivital)

U16 1st line – Milica Oravec – Offence (Eastman)

U16 1st line – Danielle Demetrioff – Defence (Bonivital)

U16 2nd line – Karrie Burling – Goalie (Bonivital)

Eastman Flames U16AA were presented with the Agnes Jacks True Sport Award for their division. The purpose of the Agnes Jacks True Sport award is to encourage participants to strive to play as a team, and display team spirit and team discipline. Further, they are to promote the highest standards of sportsmanship and camaraderie among players.

Manitoba does not currently have a team in the National Ringette League, however Amy Clarkson, a Manitoba player from St. Andrews who played with the BC Thunder NRL Team was selected as the NRL Top Goalie for the 2015/2016 season.
