Manitoba Soccer Association – Winnipeg, Manitoba – The Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) is pleased to announce the final rosters for the upcoming 2017 Jeux du Canada Games.

The 50th anniversary of the Jeux du Canada Games will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from July 28 to August 13, 2017. Soccer is an under-18 event with the women’s competition taking place during week 1 (July 28 – August 4) and the men’s competition during week 2 (August 6 – August 13). All matches are taking place at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex and tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Each roster has representation from a number of different clubs and a number of different hometowns across Manitoba. The men and women’s rosters are each comprised of 18 players and 2 coaches, 1 manager, and 1 Mission Staff.

The men’s coaching staff includes MSA Technical Director, Mike Vitulano and former Canada National Team member, Tony Nocita while the women’s coaching staff includes MSA Technical Programs Coordinator, Paul Thompson, and former Women’s U17 Canada National Team member, Amy Harrison. All of the coaching staff bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their respective teams.

MSA Executive Director, Héctor Vergara, commented, “First we are extremely pleased to have the Games in Manitoba. Sporting events of this magnitude are not easy to host and there has been a huge commitment from all of our soccer and other sport volunteers to ensure all participants truly enjoy the experience. Our soccer players and coaches have all worked very hard to prepare for the competition and represent our province to the best of their abilities. We are very proud of all the players that took part in the process as they push themselves to be the best. We know the teams are well prepared and we wish both teams much success.”
