TTCAN – For Canadian table tennis fans the ladies doubles event at the Pan American Junior Championships in Burnaby has unveiled an enticing possibility. The Canadian duo of Alicia Cote and Ivy Liao has moved to the semi final. They dispensed with a determined Peru tandem in the round of sixteen setting up a clash with their American rivals the 3^rd seeded Angela Guan and Grace Yang. Cote/Liao wasted no time demonstrating their level of preparation with a decisive 3-0 result.

Now they will face the #2 seeded Puerto Rican team, lead by the girls’ singles champion Adriana Diaz. Diaz, the highest rated player in the tournament has already punched her ticket to the mixed final and will present a significant challenge for the Canadians.
