Ultimate Canada – April 19, 2018 — Ultimate Canada is excited to announce the Head Coaches that will lead Team Canada to the 2019 World U24 Championships (date and location TBD).

·     Team Canada Women’s – Alison Fischer

·     Team Canada Men’s – Jon Hayduk

·     Team Canada Mixed – Alex Davis

Allison Fischer will take on the role of head coach for the women’s team. Fischer has been playing and coaching ultimate for over 20 years. She has been involved in growing the sport of ultimate on a local and national level throughout her career. Fischer is incredibly excited to have an opportunity to coach TC U24.

The men’s team will be headed by Jon Hayduk, a veteran coach in the Canadian ultimate community. Hayduk has been on the coaching staff in four world championship events (2012 WJUC Women, 2013 WU23 Mixed, WJUC 2014 and 2016 Open) and is excited to be returning as head coach for Team Canada U24 men’s in 2019.

Alex Davis will return as the head coach for the Team Canada U24 mixed team. Davis coached the U24 program in 2013 and 2017, and is known in ultimate for his mathematically inspired style and strategy.

Ultimate Canada’s High Performance Manager, Christiane Marceau, is excited and honoured to be working with this talented group of coached.

“With high hopes for our national teams, I am confident that Coaches Hayduk, Davis, and Fischer will deliver,” said Marceau. “Team Canada U24 has always been a strong contender for the gold medals, and 2019 will be no exception.”
