Freestyle Canada – Val Saint-Côme, January 18, 2017 – The Canadian moguls ski team will perform before their peers on Saturday, January 21, when the FIS Freestyle World Cup circuit makes its return to Val Saint-Côme, Quebec.

Last year, spectators were blown away when sisters Justine, Chloé and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe made history by clinching an unprecedented podium sweep for the women’s team. Meanwhile, Mikaël Kingsbury raced to a first-place spot, accompanied on the podium by the young Laurent Dumais, whose breakout performance earned him third place.

The athletes enjoyed a few days’ rest after the World Cup event in Lake Placid before getting back into training mode in preparation for the weekend. The public is invited to support the masters of the moguls at the Val Saint-Côme ski resort: the women’s qualifiers start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, and the men’s and women’s finals take place between 1:30 and 2:40 p.m.

“Open Moguls” Day
The athletes and coaches of the national ski team will meet & greet fans of all ages on Sunday, January 22 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the base of the Vas-y Molo run. The gang will be on hand to answer questions, sign autographs, pose for pictures and even demonstrate how to ski moguls. The event is free and open to all. We look forward to a great turnout!
