Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton – WHISTLER, B.C.—The world’s fastest athletes on ice are back in Whistler to kick off the 2016-17 BMW IBSF World Cup bobsleigh and skeleton season at the Whistler Sliding

Centre, December 2-3.

The 2010 Olympic Track will play host to nearly 200 athletes, representing 25 countries from around the globe that will descend on Whistler Village for men’s and women’s skeleton and bobsleigh races.

The action will be fast and furious, the food delicious and non-stop fun for guests of all ages. Put on your red and white and cheer Team Canada on to the top of the podium.

Schedule:

Training November 28-December 1

World Cup Races:

December 2

2 p.m. – women’s skeleton

6 p.m.  – two-man bobsleigh

December 3

10 a.m. – men’s skeleton

2 p.m. – women’s bobsleigh

6 p.m. – four-man bobsleigh

Tickets:

Tickets for the Whistler event can be purchased for $10 now at www.whistlerslidingcentre.com, or in person at Guest Services at the Whistler Sliding Centre.  Children 12 and under are free.

Whistler Media Accreditation:

ALL media must RSVP to Chris Dornan at hpprchris@shaw.ca in advance of the event to receive media credentials for the World Cup. Media can pick up accreditation at Guest

Services before heading to the Media Centre.

Media Parking:

Limited parking will be made available for media in Lot 7 and 8. Media may also gain free access to the venue via the Excalibur Gondola.
