CBC – August 2, 2016 – The first day of competition at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games features one of Canada’s top medal hopefuls in action as the women’s soccer team takes on Australia in their first preliminary round match of the Olympic Games tournament. Canada and Australia are in Group F along with Germany and Zimbabwe. CBC’s coverage begins Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET (10:30 p.m. PT) with a half-hour pre-match show, followed by the match itself at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT).
