Gymnastics Canada – RICHMOND, BC (May 11, 2018) – Media are invited to attend the 2018 Canadian Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics running from Wednesday, May 16 to Saturday, May 20, 2018 at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC.  
 
Hosted by the British Columbia Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Federation and various local clubs, this event brings together the top athletes from across Canada in the novice, junior high performance, junior open, senior high performance, and senior open categories in women’s rhythmic gymnastics. Throughout the weekend there will be a total of 30 medal events, and a Canadian Championship titleholder named in each category.
 
WHAT: 2018 Canadian Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics

• Final selection event for 2018 Youth Olympic Games;
• First selection event for 2018 World Championships;
• 2018-2019 National Team to be finalized following the event.

WHO: 

• 176 athletes and 37 coaches;
• 38 clubs from across Canada;
• 32 local Vancouver/Richmond Athletes

WHEN:
Friday, May 18^th to Sunday, May 20^st
Finals for Junior and Senior High Performance take place Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
