Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame – In one week, Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame will host the 2016 International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA) conference. This year marks the 46th annual gathering themed Museums Embracing Emerging Technologies which will focus on innovation and interactivity in the museum experience. Media are invited to attend session number eight taking place between 2:30 and 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27 that will highlight the interactive nature of Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame, the first national museum located in Alberta.

100 delegates and eight technology vendors from across North America are expected to participate in three days of sessions filled with interactive experiences. Delegates representing sport heritage organizations worldwide attending include the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis, Indiana, Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in Oakville, Ontario, China Sports Museum in Beijing, China, and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee. This will be the first conference hosted in Canada in 5 years.
