Basketball Manitoba – Basketball Manitoba is very excited to be hosting the 2016 15U & 17U Male Canada Basketball National Championships in partnership with Canada Basketball and the University of Winnipeg.  The event will run from August 1-6, 2016 at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre.   The event  will attract the top 325 male basketball players at this age from across Canada. 

Team Manitoba 15U and 17U male Provincial Teams play host to the the Canada Basketball National Championships tips off this Monday at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre.  The 15U Male team tips at 11:15 am vs Nova Scotia and the 17U’s host Alberta at 3:45 pm.  Full schedule can be seen below.  

The event will act as the official Test Event for basketball for the 2017 Canada Games set for Winnipeg next summer.  A test event allows for the fine tuning of the planning, logistics and delivery of a large scale event to be 100% prepared for the Games in 2017.  

The 15U & 17U Female National Championships will be hosted in Regina, Saskatchewan, July 25-30, 2016 at the University of Regina.   Manitoba’s female teams are currently in the Medal Rounds at the event.
