Skate Canada Manitoba​ – Dust off your blades of glory and join us.  Let’s skate and celebrate Canada 150 Skating Day!
 
Winnipeg – Fun for the entire Family and Community! On December 10th, 2017 Winnipeg will come together at Dakota Community Centre for Canada 150 Skating Day and celebrate a unique part of our national and cultural identity. Join Heritage Canada, Rogers Communications and Skate Canada Manitoba for a 2.5-hour free public skate from 2:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
 
Refreshments will be provided by Tim Horton’s and there will be give-aways from Heritage Canada. There will be performances by two Skate Canada Manitoba High Performance members Deidre and Danae Russell as well as the University of Manitoba Ice Intrepid Synchro Team. A limited number of skates and helmets have been made available to, borrow free of charge, by Heritage Canada and Skate Canada Manitoba for individuals to participate in the free public skate. Helmets are mandatory for those 16 years of age and younger. Sign-in opens at 1:45 p.m.
