AthletesCAN Forum is less than six months away!!
AthletesCAN – Ottawa (April 28 2017) – The 25th Annual AthletesCAN Forum will be in Ottawa, Ontario from September 22-24
Forum is the largest and most inclusive gathering of Canada’s national team athlete representatives outside of competition. It brings together Canada’s high performance athletes and sport leaders to learn about the sport system, develop leadership skills, share ideas and network through interactive workshops, seminars and presentations. The 2017 flagship event will feature some of the country’s top sport leaders discussing crucial topics currently impacting the Canadian Sport System.
AthletesCAN will cover the costs for travel, meals and accommodation for one able-bodied and one disabled athlete representative from each sport to attend the Forum.
KidsCAN School Day is an opportunity for school children in the Forum’s host community to meet with national team athletes, try a variety of sports and learn about the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Since its inception in 2006, AthletesCAN’s KidsCAN School Day events have enabled over 300 national team athletes including Olympians and Paralympians, to reach over 23,500 school children from Whitehorse, Yukon to Fredericton, New Brunswick with messages of inspiration and determination.
