Sport Nova Scotia – (June 13, 2019)- Over 500 participants are expected on Lake Banook this Saturday, June 15th for the 22nd Annual Manulife Dragon Boat Festival. “This is an event that we look forward to every year,” said Jeff LeDrew, Director of Marketing and Events at Sport Nova Scotia. “It’s an exciting team building activity and the funds raised go to a great cause. We’re very fortunate to have Manulife on board for another year.” Manulife has been the title sponsor of the Dragon Boat Festival since 2005.

 

“Our partnership with the Dragon Boat Festival and Sport Nova Scotia is a testament to Manulife’s commitment to building strong and healthy communities,” said Godfrey Jerry, AVP, Group Life & Disability Operations, Manulife. “This event is a great opportunity to stay active, have fun and get it done together.”

 

The Chinese Society of Nova Scotia and Hal-Con’s Community Squad will be in attendance, and Razzmatazz Face Painting, bouncy castles and food vendors will be there to keep the whole family entertained. The races will commence at 9:00 a.m. and finish at approximately 3:00 p.m. Prince Albert Road from Sinclair street to Hawthorne street will be closed to vehicles for the duration of the event.
