Ottawa Sport Council – The Speakers and Agenda have been finalized for Strategic Planning – Future Proofing your Organization – the seventh Ottawa Sport Summit on April 13, 2019 at the Nepean Sailing Club, Dick Bell Park, 3259 Carling Avenue, Ottawa ON, K2H 1A6.

Facilitated by local business leader Julien LeBlanc, and sports broadcaster and communications expert Ian Mendes, this year’s Sport Summit will use a workshop format to guide you through the development of your strategic plan.

Topics will include coming together as one around the topic of “Strategy”, habits of highly effective change agents, vision and rally cry, SWOT analysis, creation of a priority matrix, and communication and execution of your plan.  In addition, we are thrilled to have the Canada Games Council join us to speak about the importance of strategic planning and how it has transformed their organization.

The goal of the workshop is for each organization to develop and leave with their own strategic plan. As such, our recommendation is for organizations to attend with up to 3 representatives (board members, staff, key volunteers) to ensure they capitalize on the learnings of the day.

This is a free event. We do ask participants to consider making a minimum $30 donation to the Ottawa Sport Council Foundation. The Ottawa Sport Council Foundation has been created to provide sporting organizations with grants to improve inclusion in sport. Tax receipts will be provided.
