OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Manager of Golf Canada’s Incident Protection Program. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the insurance industry, essential knowledge of golf equipment, a passion for driving strategic initiatives, strong written and verbal communication, and exceptional customer service skills. Reporting to the Director of Golf Services, the Manager of Incident Protection will serve as the subject matter expert of the Incident Protection program and will be the primary point of contact for all Incident Protection applications.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Reimbursement Application Management: 70%

  • Provide exceptional customer service to members – individuals and clubs – in respect of the Incident Protection Program.
  • Oversee the reimbursement application process under the terms of membership, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements with respect to the Incident Protection Program.
  • Evaluate inbound reimbursement applications to determine eligibility, and maximum reimbursement, and approve or deny member reimbursement inquiries.
  • Preparing required documentation for submission to Accounting to fulfill timely reimbursement to members.

2. Reporting and Analysis: 15%

  • Prepare regular reports on reimbursement trends, program metrics and costs, key performance indicators, and program effectiveness to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reimbursement applications, decision-making and rationalization, negotiations, settlements, and related correspondence for audit and compliance purposes.

3. Stakeholder Communication: 10%

  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including members, golf facility managers, staff, and finance personnel, to gather relevant information, provide updates on claim status, and address any inquiries or concerns.

4. Golf Services Department Support: 5%

  • Collaborate with the Golf Services department on strategic initiatives and customer service supporting the membership program.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on claims management or reimbursement processing considered an asset,
  • Knowledge of golf equipment, golf terminology, and an interest in golf.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and administration skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including professional and proficient phone, interpersonal, and email communications.
  • Ability to work in groups and independently
  • Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
  • Flexible hours / some weekends
