Swim Nova Scotia – Halifax (NS) – As one of the fastest growing sports in Nova Scotia, swimming is not only a high-performance sport but also a low risk, lifelong activity and a leading preventative healthcare measure.  Our members include swimmers of all ages and abilities and our clubs across the province not only provide competitive streams but also after-school learn to swim programs for non-competitive swimmers, programs for immigrants/newcomers and low-income families.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we currently have three of our major training facilities closed.  The Sackville Sports Stadium is closed due to a fire, Dalplex Pool is closed due to a leak and Centennial Pool is closed for renovations.  These closures highlight the importance of aquatic facilities in our Province and in HRM.

Swim Nova Scotia looks forward to working with other aquatic groups and all levels of government to determine a long term strategic plan for aquatic facilities.  Our organization is considering opportunities to establish a capital campaign.
