SIRC is committed to empowering sport organizations and individuals to improve the Canadian sport system by sharing credible and evidence-based research and thought leadership. We believe learning should be fun, engaging and stimulate conversation. 

SIRC blogs and articles provide actionable information on relevant and timely topics for Canada’s sport sector stakeholders (e.g., national, provincial/territorial and community sport organizations, sport leaders, coaches, athletes, parents). Content is published on a range of topics, from athlete development and participation, to high performance competition and sport science, to sport leadership and governance. Specific topics can come from a variety of sources:

  • Recently published research, policies and resources,
    • Emerging trends or issues within your area of research, sport, organization, or professional practice, and/or
    • Hot topics in the news, including links with major sporting events.

SIRC content is published in both English and French, and featured on the SIRC website, in the Canadian Sport Daily, and through SIRC’s social media.
