Speed Skating Canada – Speed Skating Canada announced today that two-time Olympian from Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, Anastasia Bucsis, will be joining the organization as Coordinator, Leadership and Operations.

Bucsis, who retired last April from competitive long track speed skating, will help in the implementation, communication and organization of Speed Skating Canada’s new strategic plan.

“Speed skating has given me so much and I’m incredibly excited to be part of Speed Skating Canada’s family in a new role”, said Bucsis who is 27 years old. “I’m honoured to contribute to the development of the sport I love, both domestically and internationally.”

Based in Calgary, Anastasia Bucsis will be working with and supporting Speed Skating Canada’s executive team.

“We are very excited to welcome Anastasia to the team”, said Speed Skating Canada’s Chief Executive Officer, Susan Auch. “She brings the same passion, work ethic and enthusiasm for this organization that was require to bring her to two Olympic Games.”
