ERIK GUAY FINISHES 11th IN WILD RIDE AT KITZBÜHEL
Canada’s most decorated alpine skier of all time, finishes 11th today in the iconic Kitzbühel, Austria downhill. Quebec’s Erik Guay, safely made it down the infamous Streif track in a total time of 1:53.88.
Today’s race was hindered by weather delays and multiple crashes by some of the best skiers in the world, creating exceptionally challenging conditions. The race was ended after just 30 races came down the course, making it just enough to count as a complete race.
“It was a tough mental day today with all the crashes and stop starts,” said Guay of the downhill. “All in all, I think I skied well and it’s progressing.” Read more.
