Speed Skating Canada – Edmonton, Ottawa, Saguenay, Saskatoon and Trois-Rivières amongst host cities

Ottawa, May 16, 2016 – Speed Skating Canada unveiled today its national competitions calendar for the 2016-17 season in short and long track.

In addition to the events to be held at Speed Skating Canada’s national training centres in Montreal (Maurice-Richard Arena, Short Track), Calgary (Olympic Oval, Short Track and Long Track) and Quebec City (Gaétan-Boucher Oval, Long Track), six national competitions will take place in other Canadian cities, including two in Saskatoon (SK): the Canadian Junior Long Track Championships/Canada Cup #3 as well as the Canada West Short Track Championships.

Chicoutimi (QC), Edmonton (AB), Trois-Rivières (QC) and Ottawa (ON) will also host national competitions this season.
