New Look Canadian Luge Team Slide into Whistler to Host Viessmann FIL Luge World Cup and Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW
Canadian Luge Association – —Canadian Team hits the track in Whistler on Wednesday at 3 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m.—
WHISTLER, B.C.—A new crop of Canadian luge athletes led by Olympic medallists, Tristan Walker and Justin Snith, will slide into
Whistler, B.C. this week to host the Viessmann Luge World Cup, November 27 – December 1.
Canada will play host to nearly 100 athletes representing 21 countries at the Whistler Sliding Centre. Athletes will compete in men’s
and women’s singles, and doubles races, along with the action-packed Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by
BMW.
Media are invited to attend Canadian squad’s training sessions on November 28 at 3 p.m. or on November 29 at 9 a.m.
Interviews will be conducted on the finishing dock, or by phone, at the conclusion of training.

Tickets for the Whistler event can be purchased for $10 now at www.luge.ca/events, or in person at Guest Services at the
Whistler Sliding Centre. Children 12 and under are free.

November 28
3-5 p.m. – Canadian Team Training
November 29
9-10:45 a.m. – Canadian Team Training
November 30
2 p.m. – Doubles Race
4:40 p.m. – Men’s Singles Race
December 1
9:40 a.m. – Women’s Singles Race
1 p.m. – Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW
Whistler Media Accreditation:
ALL media must RSVP to Chris Dornan at hpprchris@shaw.ca in advance of the event to receive media credentials for the World Cup.
Media can pick up accreditation in the Media Centre located in Guest Services at the Whistler Sliding Centre.
Media Parking:
Limited parking will be made available for media in Lot 7 and 8. Media may also gain free access to the venue via the Excalibur
Gondola.
