WHAT: The Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games (Toronto 2017 NAIG) Host Society announced Tuesday that due to an overwhelming response from national and international media outlets, media registration for the Games will be extended to July 3, 2017. Media are invited to join more than 5000 athletes, 2000 volunteers and countless spectators for the largest Indigenous sport and cultural gathering in North America.
From July 16 – 23, the Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games will welcome more than 5000 participants, 2000 volunteers and countless spectators for the largest Indigenous sport and cultural gathering in North America.
 
WHERE: Media are asked to register via the online accreditation portal located on the official Toronto 2017 NAIG website at www.naig2017.to.
 
WHEN: Final deadline for accreditation for all media is July 3, 2017.

About the Toronto 2017 North American Indigenous Games
From July 16-23, 2017, the North American Indigenous Games (2017 NAIG) will welcome more than 5,000 participants, 2,000 volunteers and countless spectators from across North America. Sport and cultural venues include Humber College, McMaster University, York University, University of Toronto Scarborough, City of Toronto facilities, City of Hamilton venues, and venues within Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. A total of 14 sports will be offered for competition during the event, in addition to week-long cultural festivals, featuring programming such as traditional teachings, Indigenous artists, vendors and cultural performers.
