Medal Winning Luge Team Slides into Whistler to Host Viessmann Luge World Cup and Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW
Canadian Luge Association —Canadian Team hits the track in Whistler on Wednesday at 2 p.m.—
WHISTLER, B.C.—Fresh off a record-setting medal haul at the World Cup in Lake Placid,
the Canadian Luge Team arrive home in Whistler, B.C. this week to host the 2016
Viessmann Luge World Cup, December 7-10.
Whistler Sliding Centre. Athletes will compete in men’s and women’s singles, and doubles races, along with the action-packed Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW.
Media are invited to attend Canadian squad’s training sessions on December 7 from 2-
4:15 p.m., and on December 8 from 8-9:45 a.m. Interviews will be conducted on the
finishing dock, or by phone, at the conclusion of training.

Tickets for the Whistler event can be purchased for $10 now at www.whistler.com, by
calling 1.800.WHISTLER (1.800.944.7853), or in person at Guest Services at the
Whistler Sliding Centre. Children 12 and under are free

6:40 p.m. – Viessmann Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW
Whistler Media Accreditation:
ALL media must RSVP to Chris Dornan at hpprchris@shaw.ca in advance of the event
to receive media credentials for the World Cup. Media can pick up
accreditation at Guest Services at the venue.
Media Parking:
Limited parking will be made available for media in Lot 7 and 8. Media may also gain free
access to the venue via the Excalibur Gondola.
