Tennis Canada – Luxury vehicle brand joins Canadian WTA event as a platinum sponsor
– INFINITI to provide vehicles for player transportation in both Toronto and Montreal

Toronto, May 12, 2017 – Tennis Canada announced Friday that INFINITI Canada is the new official vehicle of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank women’s tournament and Tennis Canada. The three-year sponsorship deal will begin immediately, with INFINITI set to be on-site at Rogers Cup in Toronto this August.

“We are thrilled to partner with INFINITI Canada to enhance the tournament for both our fans and our players,” said Rob Swann, chief commercial officer, Tennis Canada. “INFINITI is a world-class company with a drive to innovate and provide their customers the best possible experience, and these are values that very much align with Tennis Canada and Rogers Cup. We are looking forward to an exciting and successful partnership.”

As a platinum sponsor of the women’s Rogers Cup, INFINITI becomes one of the tournament’s largest partners. Moving between cities each year with the WTA, INFINITI will have a large on-site presence in Toronto in 2017, which will include a space for fans to relax and interact with its lineup of luxury vehicles. In addition, INFINITI will provide the vehicles for all Rogers Cup player transportation in both Toronto and Montreal, amounting to a total of 50 cars.

“This is a time of growth and transformation for tennis in Canada, marked by the fact we have remarkable talent on the Canadian teams. Similar to INFINITI, Tennis Canada empowers the human side of its mandate, offering excellence and innovation to connect with fans through sport, as we do with vehicles to connect with customers,” says Stephen Lester, managing director of INFINITI Canada. “Through our partnership with Tennis Canada, INFINITI is proud to be part of a team of world-class players, both on and off the court. We look forward to cheering Canada on this summer.”

Prior to INFINITI signing on as Tennis Canada’s official vehicle, it first joined the Canadian tennis world with a partnership at Canada’s Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie versus Great Britain in Ottawa in February, and the Canadian team’s Fed Cup tie against Kazakhstan in Montreal last month.

Rogers Cup presented by National Bank will feature the top stars of the WTA from August 5-13, 2017 at Aviva Centre in Toronto, while their counterparts from the ATP World Tour will be at Uniprix Stadium in Montreal from August 4-13, 2017.
