First Edition of the Sailing Fair is a great success
Quebec sailing federation – On Saturday November 5th, the first edition of the Sailing Fair was held under the Olympic Stadium.
This first edition was intended to be a laid back rendezvous gathering sailing passionate. Over 20 exhibitors, sailing related clubs, businesses and non-profits, showed their products and described their activities to the general public that was invited to join in for free. Sailmakers, clothing manufacturers, food vendors, and even a school with a sailing simulator were welcoming them and sharing their passion for wind and water. Several crafts were displayed, including an Optimist dinghy, a C-Class foiling Catamaran, a life-raft, and an ice boat.
More than 500 people showed up to the event, in a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. On top of the exhibitors, visitors enjoyed several conferences including one from “Voiles de l’Amitié” about the legacy of famous departed sailor Eric Tabarly.
