(OTTAWA, ONT.) — CBC Sports will provide live streaming coverage of the Men’s and Women’s IWBF Repechage wheelchair basketball tournaments for audiences from coast to coast to coast.

Fans can watch the action on CBC Sports digital platforms, including the free CBC Gem streaming service, cbcsports.ca, and the CBC Sports app for iOS and Android devices.

The men’s tournament takes place in Antibes, France, from April 12-15, while the women’s event runs from April 17-20 in Osaka, Japan. The repechage tournaments are the final opportunity for teams that did not qualify for the Paris Games through their zone qualifier to earn a spot at the Paralympic Games. 

The tournaments will consist of two groups establishing rankings for crossover matches. The knockout stage will unveil the four teams that earn a berth in the 2024 Paralympic Games.

The Senior Men’s National Team will play in Group A against France, Iran and the Netherlands and tip-off on Friday, April 12, at 9:30 a.m. E.T. The men’s team features Paralympians Patrick Anderson (Fergus, Ont.), Nik Goncin (Regina, Sask.), and Bo Hedges (Wonowon, B.C.), among others. The complete men’s schedule can be found here.

On the women’s side, Canada will play in Group B against France, Japan and Spain. The Senior Women’s National Team opens the tournament against Japan at 2:00 a.m. E.T. on Wednesday, April 17. The women’s team includes Paralympians such as Cindy Ouellet (Quebec City, Que.), Kady Dandeneau (Pender Island, B.C.) and Tara Llanes (North Vancouver, B.C.), among others.
