Canadian Women’s Softball Team Set to Compete at Japan Cup
Softball Canada – Takasaki City, Japan – The Canadian Women’s National Team has completed a series of exhibition games and will now compete in the Japan Cup August 25-27. The event features the top four teams from the WBSC Women’s Softball World Rankings, including No. 1 Japan, No. 2 United States, No. 3 Canada and No. 4 Australia.
Team Canada will begin the Japan Cup with games against the United States and Japan on August 25, followed by Australia on August 26 to wrap up the preliminary round schedule. Matchups on August 27 will feature a game between the third and fourth place finishers, followed by the Championship game between the first and second place teams.
Canada is coming off a bronze medal finish at the IX Pan American Women’s Softball Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic last week.
