Canadian Triathletes and City of Victoria to Launch New Era for Triathlon Canada
Triathlon Canada —Media conference and luncheon set for June 21 at 11:30 a.m.—
VICTORIA—Canada’s top triathletes, along with Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps, will team up to launch a new era for Triathlon Canada on Vancouver Island, June 21 at 11:30 a.m. in front of the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
Bringing together high-profiled members of the Victoria community, the event will be used to make a major announcement that will ensure Canada develops more Olympic and Paralympic champions in the sport of triathlon well into the future.
Following the short media conference, Canada’s National Triathlon Team will hit the start line with a collection of community personalities including: City Officials; two-time Olympic medal-winning triathlete, Simon Whitfield; three-time Olympic rowing medallist, Silken Laumann, three-time Olympic swimmer Steph Horner; along with other key members of the community for a highly-visual relay race you won’t want to miss.
A lunch will also be served.
