Figure Skating – SALT LAKE CITY – Brittany Jones and Joshua Reagan of Toronto won the gold medal Friday night in pairs at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic. The competition is the second stop on the 2016 Challenger Series circuit.
Jones and Reagan, in their third year together, moved from second after the short program to win the event with an international best 155.48 points. Jessica Calalang and Zack Sidhu of the U.S., first after the short program, were second at 151.24 and Alexandria Shaughnessy and James Morgan, also the U.S., third at 140.08.
‘’We didn’t compete a whole lot last year so we could get our programs in order and get use to a new coach,’’ said Reagan. ‘’So to come out today and get the victory is a pleasant surprise for us. To see us in first place was a very memorable experience.’’
