Taekwondo Canada —Taekwondo Canada hosts premier taekwondo event, January 10-12, athletes vie for coveted international spots—

QUEBEC CITY—The top taekwondo athletes in the country will storm into Quebec City’s Convention Centre, January 10-

12, for the 2019 National Taekwondo Championships.

Taekwondo Canada will host more than 425 athletes to determine the kings and queens of Canadian taekwondo in black

belt divisions for Kyorugi and Poomsae. 

 

In addition to vying for national titles, athletes will battle for coveted qualification spots on many of Canada’s 2019

international teams Including: Pan Am Junior & Cadet Championships (Kyorugi and Poomsae); Pan American Para

Championships; World Para Championships; World Cadet Championships (pending); American Games Qualification

(PAGQ) – Kyorugi (Olympic Divisions); PAGQ – Poomsae (Freestyle Poomsae – Team); 2019 Pan American Games pre-

selection – Kyorugi Para PAGQ: K43 and K44 combined; and the Summer Universiade Games – Poomsae.

 

Competition begins each day at 8:30 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m. The official Opening Ceremony will

take place at the Quebec City Convention Centre, January 10 at 1 p.m. EST.

Tickets for the 2019 Canadian National Taekwondo Championships are available online Online ticket purchases in advance of the event may be available for pickup at the host hotel – Delta Hotels, Quebec, 690 Boulevard Rene-Levesque E – Wednesday, January 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tickets booked in advance, or last minute, will also be available for pickup at the venue, January 10-12 from 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
