Triathlon Canada —Gala reception in YYC, December 1, to raise funds for para-triathlon development and Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation—

CALGARY–Stefan Daniel made history this summer by winning the silver medal in triathlon’s debut at the Paralympic Summer Games in Rio di Janeiro. The Stampede City will celebrate his remarkable accomplishment during a gala reception, December 1 in his hometown.

The teenage triathlon sensation will headline a group of Calgary-based Paralympians for the gala evening scheduled to take place in the Hotel Arts Ballroom at 7:30 p.m. MTN.

In addition to honouring Daniel’s medal-winning performance, the event will be used to raise funds to create the Para-Triathlon Development Fund in Calgary, while also benefiting the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Alberta Children’s Hospital has played a huge role in providing the care Daniel has required throughout his childhood. The multi-sport star was born with bilateral radial club hands.
