Canada Snowboard – Canadian Pair Nab Second Team Snowboardcross World Cup Medal Of The Season

Vancouver, BC – Canada’s Meryeta O’Dine (Prince George, BC) and Zoe Bergermann (Erin, ON) took home the bronze medal Sunday during the team Snowboardcross World Cup event in Erzurum, Turkey. The pair took the third spot behind the French team of Nelly Moenne Loccoz & Chloe Trespeuch and the Czech team of Vendula Hopjakova and Eva Samkova. This is O’Dine and Bergermann’s second team event medal after the pair captured silver at last month’s Team SBX World Cup in Montafon, AUT.
The victory comes after a solid effort from both riders in the previous day’s individual race, with O’Dine and Bergermann coming in 6th and 10th respectively. The men’s team consisting of Kevin Hill (Vernon, BC) and Liam Moffat (Truro, NS) finished in 11th place.
The Canadian Snowboardcross team will now head to Bansko, Bulgaria for a sprint Snowboardcross World Cup before the focus then shifts to the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
