Badminton Canada – OTTAWA ON – Badminton Canada is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff members to the organization. Mr. Jordan Bridal and Mr. Rahim Karmali will be joining Badminton Canada in the newly created roles of High Performance Manager and Communications Manager respectively.

Jordan Bridal joins Badminton Canada in the role of High Performance Manager. Jordan will play a key role in implementing, supporting as well as further developing Badminton Canada’s High Performance Plan and will work closely with National Team athletes to ensure they reach their full potential.  Jordan comes to Badminton Canada with over 14 years of experience working in the Canadian Sport system; with stints with Commonwealth Games Canada, the Canadian Paralympic Committee and most recently with the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Jordan shares: “I am very happy to become a member of Badminton Canada at this very exciting time. I look forward to helping Canadian badminton athletes achieve great success on the national and international stages.” Jordan will officially start with Badminton Canada May 24, 2016.

Rahim Karmali also joins Badminton Canada in the role of Communications Manager. For over 15 years, Rahim has been involved in the world of badminton as one of our top former junior athletes, coach and tournament organizer from Montreal, QC. Upon completing his Masters in Communication at the University of Ottawa, Rahim brings a wide range of experience in bilingual media, marketing, and communications. Rahim shares: “It’s a privilege and honour to join Badminton Canada. I look forward to developing new communications strategies to better promote our beloved sport of badminton throughout Canada and the globe.”  Rahim will manage and develop content for Badminton Canada website and social media networks as well as Badminton Canada’s primary media liaison.
