Athletes from 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Games and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Dominate Canadian Sport Awards!
AthletesCAN – OTTAWA (September 20, 2018) – Canadian athletes at the 2018 Olympic Winter and Paralympic Games in PyeongChang and 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia were the majority winners in the “Performance Category” of the 41st Canadian Sport Awards (CSA), which were held last night in Ottawa.
A capacity crowd representing the “who’s who” in the Canadian sport community was on hand at the CSA’s, Canada’s premier event for sport achievement and leadership recognition. The event, emceed by Olympic medallists Perdita Felicien and Alex Despatie honoured 18 winners from 4 categories, Sport Performance, Influencers, Corporate Excellence and People’s Choice.

In addition to the Awards presented to the above recipients, CBC presented a “People’s Choice Award for Performance of the Year”, through an online platform where viewers were asked to pick their favourite performance out of a short list of six.
