U SPORTS – Ravens victorious in ‘run and gun’ match with UNB

KAMLOOPS, B.C. (U SPORTS) – Seven goals in a soccer match – especially a university soccer match isn’t that common. But that was the case as Day 2 of the 2017 U SPORTS Respect Group Men’s Soccer Championship began on Friday. In the first consolation semifinal of the day, the Carleton Ravens downed the UNB Varsity Reds 4-3.
Lions top Citadins to advance to consolation final
Joey Cicchillo scored midway through the second half and Jonathan Lao added an insurance marker, leading the York Lions to a 2-0 victory over the UQAM Citadins in the second consolation semifinal at the 2017 U SPORTS Respect Group Men’s Soccer Championship on Friday.
Carabins upset Thunderbirds to punch ticket to final
The Montreal Carabins are going to play for the U SPORTS Men’s Soccer Championship, after upsetting the UBC Thunderbirds 2-0 in Friday’s championship semifinal at Hillside Stadium.
Capers need extra time to beat WolfPack
The Cape Breton Capers’ dream season continues as the No.1-ranked team in the nation will play for the 2017 U SPORTS Respect Group Men’s Soccer Championship.
The Capers needed a pair of goals in overtime to beat the host Thompson Rivers WolfPack 4-2.
