Softball Canada – The Canadian Men’s National Team will hold a Selection Camp June 8-11 in Kitchener, Ont. with twenty-two (22) players from the Men’s National Team Athlete Pool invited to compete for a spot on the 2017 roster.
 
The Selection Camp will include physical and positional testing at Conestoga College in Kitchener and intrasquad games at 6:00pm on Friday June 9 and 1:00pm on Saturday June 10, both at Innerkip Park in Innerkip, Ont. Intrasquad games are open to the public at no charge.
 
Twelve (12) athletes have already been named core players of the World Championship team, leaving competition for the five (5) remaining roster spots for an opportunity to represent Team Canada at the Bob Law Memorial Challenge from June 30 to July 3 in Vancouver, B.C. and the WBSC XV Men’s Softball World Championship from July 7-16 in Whitehorse, Yuk.
 
The coaching staff will also select athletes to compete at the upcoming X WBSC Americas Men’s Pan American Championship that will be held September 15-24 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This event will serve as a qualifier for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.
